FIOM Rwanda

FIOM's mission is to contribute to the promotion of Rwandan community especially the youth, women and the vulnerable to ensure their social well-being and get hope for future in order to participate actively in the development of their country. Since 2001 FIOM Rwanda has supported communities in the eastern province of Rwanda; giving them the opportunity to develop the skills and the knowledge they need to make a sustainable living. Many are women, which can still be a barrier to success in this developing country. Many others are affected by HIV/AIDS. Through vocational training, FIOM Rwanda gives these people hope; opening doors and helping them to become self-sufficient and to gain the self-confidence they need to succeed. Alongside vocational training opportunities, FIOM Rwanda also helps provide education in vital areas like family planning and HIV/AIDs prevention. Together these interventions help communities to be healthy, prosperous, and to make the future in their minds the reality of tomorrow
FIOM Rwanda works in a number of core development areas: health, safe water and basic sanitation, capacity building and economic development, environmental protection and good governance.
