A Heartfelt Farewell to Mr. Anas

On 24th June, the Sri Lankan International School Riyadh had the honour of hosting a farewell ceremony for Mr. Anas, Head of Chancery of the Sri Lankan Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in recognition of his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the Sri Lankan community.

Throughout his tenure, Mr. Anas has demonstrated exceptional commitment, professionalism, and unwavering support for the welfare of Sri Lankans in the Kingdom. His guidance and dedication have left a lasting impact, and his contributions will always be remembered with deep appreciation.

🌟 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🎉

Our Preschool, Reception 1 & 2, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 & 2 students enjoyed a fun-filled educational excursion to Monkey Land, where learning came alive through play, exploration, and discovery.

The visit provided our young learners with exciting opportunities to develop their social, communication, motor, and problem-solving skills while building confidence, teamwork, and independence in a joyful environment.

🤝 A HEARTFELT FAREWELL TO MR. ABDUL HOSSAIN 🤝

Sri Lankan International School Riyadh bid a warm and emotional farewell to Mr. Abdul Hossain on 21st May 2026, a dedicated member of our support staff who has faithfully served the SLISR community for nearly five years.

Throughout his years of service, Mr. Abdul demonstrated commitment, sincerity, humility and a strong work ethic. His contributions, often made behind the scenes, played an important role in supporting the daily operations of our school and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff.

As a token of appreciation for his dedication and service, the entire SLISR family came together to express their gratitude. Students from Kindergarten to A-Level, along with teachers, parents and staff members, contributed generously to support him as he prepares to return to his home country.

This collective gesture reflects the values that define our school community—gratitude, compassion, respect, and unity. It was truly inspiring to witness students, parents, and teachers joining hands to recognize someone whose hard work and commitment have touched so many lives.

The Board of Directors of Sri Lankan International School Riyadh honoured Mr. Riyaz on 13th June 2026 in recognition of his 13 years of dedicated service as HR & Administrative Manager.

His contributions have been invaluable, particularly in the successful relocation of the school to its current premises and his extensive work with government authorities, educational portals, and Ministry of Education requirements, including the school's annual licensing and regulatory processes.

Adding to this memorable experience, the Principal and representatives of Riyadh Turkish International School recently visited SLISR to personally convey their appreciation and gratitude for our students' outstanding performance at the festival.
