We’re an equal joint-venture between Al Jomaih Holding Company and Shell Overseas Investments that was created in 1956 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since the inception of Shell Saudi Arabia, we have gained vast experience and a growing awareness of Saudi market requirements. Our tremendous efforts in developing high-quality lubricants specialized for the Saudi market culminated in 1982, when we started construction of our state-of-the-art L**e Oil Blending Plant in the nation’s capital of Riyadh, which began production in October 1985 and was officially inaugurated by His Royal Highness King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the then Governor of Riyadh, in March 1987. The L**e Oil Blending Plant epitomizes our vision and mission – two guiding forces that drive our work, push our limits, and help us live up to our core values. They’re also what enabled us to dominate the Motor Oil and Diesel Engine Oil Categories since 1987 with our legacy products Shell Super Plus and Shell Rotella. In fact, throughout the years, we’ve grown our innovative portfolio that includes the Shell Helix passenger car motor oil and Shell Rimula heavy-duty diesel engine oil featuring Shell’s renowned Gas-to-Liquids technology - a revolutionary process that converts natural gas into crystal-clear base oil. Ensuring enhanced viscosity and less engine friction, this base oil helps improve engine cleanliness, reduce maintenance costs, and increase fuel economy. However, our vast product portfolio also boasts a strong and highly advanced range of industrial lubricants specifically designed for industries such as Construction, Fleet, Power & Cement, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Manufacturing, and Agriculture. Ensuring increased operational performance, these oils and greases bring substantial savings to our partnering companies by helping to maximize equipment efficiency, prolong vehicle life, and reduce machine downtime. In fact, the cutting-edge formulation of our oils ensures that any engine functions properly. With an investment in research and development which enabled our groundbreaking PurePlus technology to manufacture lubricants of the highest quality, we pride ourselves on teaming up with the world’s most renowned brands to make sure that our oils meet the requirements of their engines. We also provide genuine and co-branded lubricants, which is why we’re the preferred oil supplier and technical partner for top OEMs worldwide. And when it comes to distributing our lubricants, we maintain a customer-centric approach by focusing on key growth segments and collaborating with world-class OEMs. It’s precisely this strategy that has helped us expand our distribution network, which now spans the entire Kingdom, and realize significant business progress over the years. But our success wouldn’t have been possible without the winning mindset of our highly skilled and diverse workforce, which consists of Saudi citizens as well as nationals of 14 other countries. And because employee development is something that’s close to our hearts, we carry out various training courses and programmes that not only contribute to our employees’ personal and professional developement, but also attract Saudis from all over the country – a fact that has helped us achieve the Platinum Nitaqat status, the highest attainable level of Saudization in the Kingdom.
