🔘 Normal Open (NO)
Meaning: The circuit is open (disconnected) in its normal state.
Current Flow: No current flows through until the switch/relay is activated.
Example: A doorbell button – when not pressed, the circuit is open.
🔴 Normal Close (NC)
Meaning: The circuit is closed (connected) in its normal state.
Current Flow: Current flows until the switch/relay is activated.
Example: Emergency stop button – normally closed so that power flows; pressing it opens the circuit to stop machines.
