FULMINATION

The first line-up were: Mats Berggren on bass/vocals, Christer Enström on drums and Mats Forsell on guitars
and the musical style was of course Swedish Death Metal! In May 1992 they recorded four songs for the first demo "Fulmination" in studio Fragg. Three of the songs were also featured on a local compilation tape called "Avesta Mangel II". The same year Fredrik Norrman from UNCANNY joined the band on second guitar and in November they went to Dan Swanö at Gorysound and recorded the second demo "Through Fire". In May 1993 they entered Gorysound studio again with Dan Swanö and recorded five songs for a split-CD with Swedish OBSCURE INFINITY for Exhumed Productions (Germany) but unfortunately it was never released. The song "Stronger Than Life" from that recording appeared on the "Requiem - Morbid Symphonies of Death" compilation CD released by the same label. This year Mats Forsell joined UNCANNY on guitar and Mats Berggren joined MOONDARK on bass and vocals. In March 1994 a live-CD was recorded with three other local bands at the youthcenter Musikhuset in Avesta who also released it. Fulmination contributed with four songs. After a while Fredrik Norrman joined KATATONIA and left both Fulmination and Uncanny. Fredrik were replaced by Johan Jansson from INTERMENT/MOONDARK/UNCURBED on guitar. The final recording was made at the studio in Musikhuset September by Per Samuelsson and were mixed by Mats Forsell and Fulmination. The recording of total ten songs, both new and old, were supposed to be a fullength that unfortunately never was sent to any label...

After the recording Fulmination sadly split-up because of lack of inspiration to move on. The members didn't continue with any new projects after the split-up except of Johan that still played with Uncurbed and started DELLAMORTE in the autumn 1994 and Fredrik played with Katatonia. Nowadays only Christer, Fredrik and Johan
still work with music and play in bands. Christer also runs a studio and have recorded bands and different artists since many years. During their existence Fulmination only did a few gigs around the local area.
