CO2 can be turned into a working fluid for many hydrocarbon-dominant processes. By compressing carbon dioxide beyond its critical point, the gas and the liquid phases become identical. We have experience with compression from the gas side, as well as compression originating from the liquid side and going to supercritical conditions.
In fact, our integrally-geared turbocompressors are needed in most processes where wet CO2 is boosted for further usage. Atlas Copco Gas and Process has over 15 years of experience compressing CO2. Så fick Halmstad Energi och Miljö mer tryckluft för pengarna 💡
För Halmstad Energi och Miljö (HEM) är en stabil och energieffektiv tryckluftsförsörjning en viktig del av den dagliga verksamheten. När det var dags att framtidssäkra anläggningen såg man samtidigt möjligheten att göra mer än att bara säkra driften.
I nära samarbete med Atlas Copco och Mekano AB har HEM optimerat sin tryckluftsanläggning, sänkt systemtrycket och installerat energieffektiva kompressorer med värmeåtervinning. Det gör att omkring 657 000 kWh energi kan återvinnas varje år.
Detta innebär samtidigt en besparing på cirka 418 000 kronor årligen.
Det är alltid roligt att se vilken skillnad tekniska lösningar kan göra i praktiken. Vi är stolta över att tillsammans med våra kunder och partners utveckla smartare och mer energieffektiva lösningar.
