Uppsala Bridge

𝐔𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤🌉! Curious for debating about interesting ideas? Willing to meet new people in town? We’re thrilled to invite you to our next vibrant discussion-based event 🗣️💬 on Tuesday 23rd April at 18:00 in Smålands nation.

In sight of the many elections recently celebrated in Europe (and the upcoming ones), the topic this time would be: DEMOCRACY.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐔𝐩𝐩𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐁𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐞?

Uppsala Bridge is a debate-based event where we gather to explore intriguing topics through various group dynamics. Before each Bridge event an interesting topic is announced. During the event the topic is presented in a detailed way and then... the debate around it is served!. Whether you’re a seasoned debater or a curious newcomer, your insights matter! 🤔✨

But wait, there’s more! Uppsala Bridge isn’t just about ideas; it’s also a fantastic place to meet new people. 🤝🌈 Connect, exchange perspectives, and expand your social circle while fostering meaningful conversations. 🌐🗨️ Doesn´t it sounds as an excellent plan for one evening every second Tuesday?

The new season of Uppsala Bridge starts on Tuesday April 23rd, and will keep rolling every second week on Tuesdays 18:00 since then.

So mark your calendars, grab your thinking caps, and join us at Uppsala Bridge! Let’s bridge minds, share insights, and create memories together. 🌆🎉

Stay attent to our social media to know more about future events. Looking forward to see you there.

Dear All!

The international dinner this Monday would have been our last event for this semester, where we would have wanted to thank you for taking part in our events and celebrate the start of the summer together. However, as we unfortunately had to cancel that event we would like to at least the "thank you"-part here.

These past two semesters were quite challenging for Uppsala Bridge, with quite some ups and downs.
🎂We had a great start with an amazing opening event (together with the founder of the Budapest Bridge Community in Hungary) and some really thought-provoking discussions afterwards.
💡However, as the end of the autumn semester was approaching, and people had to go back to their home country (both from our team and those who came to our events) we did find ourselves in front of sum hurdles which we had to overcome. It took us a little while to figure it out, but we managed to start our events again a few weeks ago.
☀️However, now that summer is approaching and everybody is going on holiday, spreading out around the world,🌏 Uppsala Bridge is also taking a summer break. 😊

📅As for our future: We are having some changes in our team next semester, which we’ll have to figure out over the summer. But we are trying our best to be back - full of new ideas and energy – and start again with exciting and lively discussions next semester, inspired by the ones we had in this first year of our existence 😊

We wish you all a great summer and hopefully see you again in the autumn!

Sommartider hej hej!!!

Best,
The Uppsala Bridge Team
