Looks like someone got to the best sun loungers first.

In the Arctic, finding a spot on the beach can be just as competitive as anywhere else, especially when your neighbours weigh up to 1.5 tonnes each.

Walruses are highly social animals and often gather in large groups to rest between feeding trips. Their impressive tusks, which can grow up to one metre long, help them haul themselves onto the ice and establish their place in the crowd.

We'd happily share the beach... but we have a feeling these guys prefer to keep the front row to themselves.
