Klub Senate, a social club established within the Fourah Bay Community, has marked its 10th anniversary with an educative symposium aimed at promoting academic excellence, talent development and healthy competition among young people. The event was held on Saturday, September 19, at Bottom School, Forster Street, Fourah Bay, under the theme “Education for a Sustainable Future.”

Winner of the 1st Spelling Bee in Sierra Leone under ICBAI
A proud Princewalean (alumni of the Prince of Wales School), Franklyn served as President of the Law Society, University of Makeni (2017/2018).
He is a practising Lawyer, currently serving as In-house Lawyer for the Sierra Leone Cricket Association, and a Board Member of the African Cricket Association.
From champion speller to legal professional and sports administrator Franklyn brings a unique blend of academic excellence, legal expertise, and leadership to the role of Chief Judge.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker
Abdulai Jalloh, MBA, CRBA
Abdulai Jalloh is a distinguished Chartered Accountant and Internal Audit Specialist with over 18 years of cross-sectoral expertise spanning the public, private, and non-profit industries. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Roy Global Limited, Sierra Leone’s leading indigenous mining service provider, where he directs the financial strategies supporting specialised drilling, blasting, and explosive management operations.
Throughout his career, Abdulai has built a strong record of leadership in risk management and corporate governance. He spent 12 years with Ecobank Sierra Leone Limited, rising to the position of Chief Audit Executive. Recognised as part of the elite Ecobank Africa Top Talent Group, his responsibilities during this tenure extended internationally, managing complex audit and risk assignments across more than ten African nations.
His foundational career includes four years with the Ministry of Finance’s Accountant General’s Department, where he served as Assistant Accountant and Officer in Charge. In this role, he directed operations within the Main Accounts, Pensions, and Payroll Units, overseeing the administration of end-of-service benefits for civil servants and ex-government officials.
As a sought-after business and financial consultant, Abdulai has designed financial policies, strategic frameworks, and compliance mechanisms for prominent organisations, including the World Bank (Special Projects), FOCUS 1000, SAVE Sierra Leone, Eldorado Resources Company, and Albert Logistics. His competencies encompass advanced policy formulation, strategic management, organisational development, internal controls, and NGO financing structures.
Dedicated to continuous professional excellence, Abdulai holds a First-Class Executive MBA from the Open University (UK) in partnership with Amity Global Business School (India). He is a Certified Risk-Based Auditor (IABFM – USA), a current MSc Candidate in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, and a second-year Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) candidate.
Abdulai is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (ICASL) and an active alumnus of the Albert Academy Class of 2002. Based in Freetown, he balances his executive commitments with a passion for youth empowerment, community development, and competitive Scrabble. He is happily married with four children.
