The father of Mustapha Kanu, whose both hands were amputated by his grandfather, has raised concerns over funds reportedly sent by members of the public to support his son’s treatment. Mustapha grandfather is currently facing a 75-year prison sentence at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown.

According to Mustapha’s father, the individual who was receiving funds on behalf of Mustapha has allegedly refused to provide a full explanation regarding the money sent to his account for the boy’s treatment. The father said he has repeatedly requested clarification but has not received a satisfactory explanation about the funds.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the individual has claimed that the remaining money sent for Mustapha’s treatment, which he was unable to hand over to the family, was returned to the people who originally contributed it. The family is now seeking transparency and a clear account of all funds raised for Mustapha’s medical treatment.
