With support from the (SSF), ADRO conducted a community consultation and reconciliation meeting in as part of the peacebuilding initiative in Luuq District, Gedo Region.

The meeting brought together traditional elders, women, youth, and other community representatives to strengthen dialogue, rebuild trust, and promote peaceful solutions to existing disputes.

Participants openly discussed the challenges affecting peace and demonstrated their commitment to resolving differences through dialogue, mutual respect, and community cooperation.

ADRO remains committed to supporting community-led efforts that promote lasting peace, reconciliation, and social cohesion in Luuq District.

On 13 June 2026, the Deputy President of Jubbaland, H.E Mohamud Sayid Aden, officially launched the SSF III Reconciliation Project in Luuq District. The project is funded by the Somalia Stability Fund(SSF) and implemented by ADRO in collaboration with the Office of the President for Community Affairs of Jubbaland.

The initiative aims to strengthen peacebuilding, social cohesion, and community resilience through inclusive dialogue and community-led solutions.
