There seems to be a misunderstanding pertaining to the sponsorship of the Yirol East County Football Team jerseys.

Honestly in my own view, Malual Thon Abraham did not intend to personalize or claim ownership of the team .He remains a proud son of Cic and a sponsor who voluntarily contributed resources to support the team. His involvement was purely an act of goodwill aimed at promoting sports and empowering young people, especially the team.

As a sports lover, I believe the inclusion of his name on the newly printed jerseys should not be interpreted as an attempt to turn community property into personal property, as some individuals have suggested earlier. Across the world, it is common for sponsors, whether individuals, companies, or organizations to be acknowledged for their contributions. Such recognition does not diminish the identity of the team or the community it represents.

It is in that sense to note that MMT is a clothing brand owned by Malual Thon, just as Calvin Klein, Gucci and many other brands are owned by individuals or companies. Therefore, the appearance of the MMT name on the jerseys should be viewed as a brand identity and recognition of sponsorship rather than an attempt to personalize the team or its property.

As Cic, by virtue of your membership you are entitled to your opinions, it is crucial that facts are presented accurately and that goodwill gestures are not misrepresented.

Emmanuel Athiei Ayual, the Managing Director whose leadership and commitment continue to shape the institution and create opportunities for many South Sudanese.

The saying, “If there’s no enemy within, the enemy outside cannot access us,” carries a deep meaning in today’s society. Too often, people who dedicate themselves to public service become targets of unnecessary criticism, false accusations, and personal attacks. Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual is among the leaders who have faced negative labeling from some sections of society, with allegations of corruption and other claims aimed at damaging his reputation. However, when one looks closely at his work and achievements, a different picture emerges — one of commitment, patriotism, and service to the nation.

Under his leadership, many young South Sudanese have been given employment opportunities through Nile Petroleum Corporation. What is important to note is that a large number of those employed possess excellent academic and professional qualifications. These are capable individuals who earned their positions through merit, competence, and dedication. The accusations that seek to undermine these achievements often ignore the reality that empowering educated and qualified citizens is one of the strongest ways to build national institutions.

Leadership is never an easy responsibility, especially in a developing country like South Sudan, where expectations are high and challenges are many. Unfortunately, some people focus more on spreading negativity instead of recognizing the progress being made.

His efforts in supporting employment, strengthening institutional operations, and contributing to the petroleum sector deserve recognition rather than continuous attacks fueled by rumors and personal interests.

In a country where criticism and attack on people holding government's positions are normalized and seen as part of bravery, I'm not here to genuinely challenge your habit but to point out positive part of service rendered by one of own youth in the name of MD. Athiei Ayual. We live in a country where youth are complaining everyday for not being given chance to serve but when they're appointed, the same youth attack and bring down their own youth appointed in various government's positions. The question remains, what do youth want in this country?
The current MD Athiei Ayual should be given token of appreciations for transforming Nile Petroleum corporation. Before MD Athiei appointment, salary was a rumor, Nile Pet shifted to giving out food items to their staff to boost energy and hope for better tomorrow.

The appointment of MD. Athiei changed everything, tomorrow arrived. Nile pet staff are now receiving their monthly salaries again. Athiei came with a vision encompassed on transforming Nile Petroleum corporation through leveraging assets that improve return on investment, and staff life standards through timely release of salary.
This is to tell you that young people are shaping the trajectories, pushing boundaries, and adding resonance to the life of mankind by forging new ways of doing things. All what this leadership has to do is give them time to serve and set standards and strong foundations for those who gonna come after them to follow.

It's was nice catching up with the new general manager of JIA CAPTAIN AMEL AJONGO MAWUT.

South Sudanese artists can elevate their image by keeping things more composed when welcoming foreign artists whether at the airport or during their visits in Juba. Showing love and hospitality is important, but it should be done with a sense of calm professionalism that reflects confidence and self-worth. A more measured approach not only looks better publicly but also helps maintain credibility and long-term respect.
