Women Program for Counsel Initiative

Peace and Community Cohesion project led by women union

The Women Union from Warrap, Unity and Lakes States, in partnership with the Ministry of Peace Building, Republic of South Sudan, with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), is leading an important peace and community cohesion initiative focused on strengthening peace, dialogue and stability across the Warrap–Unity–Lakes States triangle.

The engagement provides a platform to:

Update on Security and Emerging Issues
Assess the current security situation, identify emerging threats and discuss issues affecting peace, stability and community relations.

Discuss Key Activities and Challenges
Review ongoing peacebuilding and community cohesion activities, while identifying challenges that may affect their implementation and impact.

Strengthen Conflict Resolution Approaches
Promote inclusive dialogue, mediation, reconciliation and community-led solutions to address conflicts and prevent further violence.

Strengthen the Role of Women and Communities
Recognise the critical role of women, traditional leaders, youth, faith leaders and communities in preventing conflict, promoting reconciliation and building sustainable peace.

Strengthen Partnerships
Clarify the roles and responsibilities of government institutions, peacebuilding partners, civil society organisations, women-led organisations, communities and development partners in supporting peace and stability.

Our Shared Commitment

Peace cannot be achieved by one institution or one group alone. It requires collective responsibility, meaningful dialogue, strong partnerships and community ownership.

By working together across the Warrap–Unity–Lakes triangle, we can transform emerging challenges into opportunities for peace, reconciliation, social cohesion and sustainable development.

International Youth Day 2026 — 12 August

As the Executives of the Women’s Program for Counsel Initiative Organisation, we join young people across South Sudan and the world in celebrating International Youth Day 2026.

Today, we celebrate the energy, creativity, resilience, and potential of our young people. Youth are not simply leaders of tomorrow—they are partners and leaders of today.

Let us invest in young people through education, skills development, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and meaningful participation in decision-making.

I particularly call for greater investment in young women and girls, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn, lead, earn, and contribute to the development of their communities and nation.

To every young person: Believe in your potential. Build your skills. Raise your voice. Create opportunities. Be part of the solution.

Together, we can empower a generation that will build a more peaceful, inclusive, prosperous, and sustainable South Sudan.

Happy international women's day to every strong and precious woman life has given to us
Women Program for Counsel Initiative -WPCI -NNGO we are wherever women are and we will continue to celebrate this days and remember it for strength every women have for there contribution in our families and country with support and development.

This is a plan to advise and support vulnerable woman youths and infants through sets of program and projects to meet community needs as to save guide many lives

We are celebrating anniversary of WPCI.org today it marks 1 year after our registration.
We thank God and those who had moved with us in participating and volunteering for the programs and activities of WPCI, from the initial of last year 2022-2023 that we were able to achieve some targets and work plane.

Herein we are still moving on with our vision and mission to meet the goals and objectives of Women Program for Counsel Initiative -WPCI -NNGO
Therefore we argue communitities, other NGOs, UN agencies and international cooperation to move with us for the welfare of vulnerable groups in the societies.
