🚨BREAKING: BCT President Says He Resigned Due to Pressure from Cueibet and Aweil South

The President of the Bahr el Ghazal Counties Tournament (BCT), Majok Ayar Chieny, has clarified that his resignation was made under pressure from Cueibet County and Aweil South County—both of which were knocked out in the Quarter-Finals.

Majok explained that he did not resign because three counties from Lakes State reached the Semi-finals, as claimed by some Facebook users. Instead, he said the real reasons were as follows:

- Aweil South's management, accompanied by their fans and some players, came to his office at South Sudan Hotel and threatened his staff in his presence.
- Cueibet's management also met with him regarding their complaints against Wulu and fought one of his staff members.

He further stated that Anyar Control is insisting on supporting his county, Aweil South, for the rematch of the 90-minute game between Rumbek North and Aweil South.

Cueibet County and Aweil South have not responded yet.

DR. MAJAK D'AGOOT ATEM

Dr. Majak is a South Sudanese military officer, politician, scholar, and security expert. He was born in Mangala, Central Equatoria State, in 1964. He is originally from Twic East County, Jonglei State. He is widely known for his service in the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) during the Second Sudanese Civil War and for holding senior positions in the Government of South Sudan after independence.

Early life and education
He started his education at Mongalla Primary School (1971–1976), Bor Intermediate (1977–1980), and Malek Secondary School, Bor (1980–1983). Dr. Majak D'Agoot pursued higher education in the United Kingdom, earning:
- A Bachelor of Science in Economics (Honours) from the University of London - External Programme.
- A Master's degree in security Studies from King's College London.

- A Master's degree in Security Sector Management from Cranfield University.

- A Master's degree in Quantitative Finance and a PhD in Financial Economics from SOAS, University of London.

Military and political career
He joined the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A) during the liberation struggle against the Sudanese government. In the SPLA, he served as a field training commander in the 1980s. He also participated in many battles against the enemy in the 1980s and 1990s.

After the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005, he served as a Deputy Director General of Sudan's National Intelligence and the Director of the Security Service of Southern Sudan before South Sudan's independence. After independence in 2011, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Defence and Veterans Affairs of South Sudan, and he was relieved in July 2013.
