EDAM MANAGEMENT RESPONDS TO PUBLIC OUTCRY WITH “KUVAKELЕ” SHOW

Following the disappointment surrounding the show that was scheduled to take place at Edam on Saturday, 29 August 2026, the management of Edam has taken note of the concerns, disappointment and public outcry expressed by members of the public.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has shared their views and, most importantly, those who continue to support Edam as an entertainment and community destination.

In response to the situation, Edam Management is pleased to announce a special damage-control show dubbed “KUVAKELЕ.”

The event will provide an opportunity for the public to come together, enjoy good entertainment and restore the positive spirit associated with Edam events.

PRESS STATEMENT: EDAM LODGE CLARIFIES ITS POSITION ON THE “KUGUGA OTHANDAYO” EVENT

The Management of Edam Lodge wishes to inform the general public, patrons, and all interested parties that Edam Lodge is a duly registered entity that provides hospitality, entertainment, and venue services to members of the public at applicable fees.

We have noted with concern information circulating on social media regarding an event referred to as “Kuguga Othandayo,” which is associated with the Illa Pen Boy Foundation.

Edam Lodge Management wishes to categorically clarify that it has not entered into or signed any contract or agreement with the Illa Pen Boy Foundation to host the said “Kuguga Othandayo” event at Edam Lodge.

Members of the public are therefore advised not to interpret any publicity relating to the said event as confirmation that Edam Lodge is the official venue for that event.

On Saturday, 29 August 2026, Edam Lodge will continue with its usual entertainment activities, featuring music and local DJs, with music selection depending on the preferences of our patrons and fans.

Our entertainment will commence from 12:00 noon until late.

ADMISSION

* Entrance fee: E50.00 per person
* Payment is strictly at the gate
* No tickets are being sold through any other platform
* Cooler boxes: E50.00

We invite our valued patrons to come and enjoy good music, entertainment, and the usual Edam Lodge experience.

We further encourage the public to exercise caution and verify information directly with Edam Lodge Management before making any payments or arrangements relating to events allegedly taking place at our premises.
