PlayLab Kids

Episode 1: We are starting a new series called Science Journal! ✨. Every week we will post a little glimpse into our classes and science from the eyes of Playlab Kids.

This week, we are posting about the things we use. We have many weird and wonderful things we use in our classes: from dried fruits to glass pebbles and plastic toys! A lot of this is to teach how different materials react to different situations. Everything around us has a different weight, composition, and quality. We just use science to explore it.

The term is starting and it’s looking bright! This was our ✨incredibly ✨ colorful setup for the open house event at BASIS International School!

Just like that there’s only 2 more weeks of camps left!

How fast time flies during the summer. Soon we will be preparing for the upcoming term, because August is almost here 👀.

During this week’s Jungle-Themed Camp at Alliance Française Bangkok, our students put their STEM skills to the test. They designed and built their very own rainproof shelters and fully functioning cable cars to help mini-figures navigate the wild terrain they imagined. Watch out, Amazon, these kids are ready for anything!

Keep exploring the jungle, little engineers! 🌿🐒✨

Now that the summer break has started all is quiet…except for us. We are moving all of our operations back to our B2B partnerships with schools. We’re still teaching science, you just gotta catch us at one of our partner clients!

And it’ll be soon too, since we have camps with Alliance Francaise Bangkok right around the corner.

Have a greeat summer ✨🚀

With all this rain of course we will explore where clouds 🌧️ and all that water💧 comes from!

Hey little explorers. Let’s go on an adventure. If water dries up, where does it go? And when it gets cold again, what happens to it?

🤔🧠✨

There’s been a lot of change the past 3 years we’ve been in operations! From new programs to new partner schools, we are so happy to continue offering fun and exciting science classes. As school terms come to an end, we continue preparing for the next term. See you soon little scientists! 🧑‍🔬 ✨

People say the classic volcano experiment is too easy... 🌋

But here’s how we turn a simple crowd pleaser into serious science! 🧠👇

Instead of just handing them the recipe, we turn our students into real investigators. We don’t tell them what makes the lava bubbly. We give them a lineup of mystery materials, like lemon juice, soda, sugar, and vinegar, and let them test them all! 🧪✨

Through trial, error, and messy hands, they figure out the exact chemical reaction on their own. It’s not just a volcano; it’s a lesson in hypothesis testing, variables, and the scientific method!

What’s your favorite DIY science experiment? 🔬
