On 16–17 September, six (6) XLC staff members participated in a two-day training on Creating Happiness and Spiritual Well-being in the Workplace at SLDC, Xavier Hall, Bangkok.

The training explored Emotional Intelligence (EQ), mindfulness, deep listening, inner peace, and workplace happiness—reminding us that positive organizational change begins with small changes within ourselves.

A meaningful opportunity to learn, reflect, connect, and bring greater happiness and well-being into our workplace.

From 14-18 September, students at Xavier Campus stepped beyond their usual classroom routines for a week of presentations, cultural activities, international experiences, creative learning, and meaningful exchange.

From sharing overseas experiences and exploring English around the world, to TED Talks, role plays, interactive English activities, and the ASEAN Cultural Expo, students discovered that learning can happen anywhere—through travel, conversation, collaboration, culture, and real-life experiences.

Xavier Academic Week 2026 was a celebration of students finding their voices, sharing their perspectives, and learning from one another. 🌏📖

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in Asia Pacific (AJCU-AP) convened from 23 – 26 August 2026 in the Solo (Surakarta), Indonesia, for their annual meeting of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). Upon the generous invitation of Politeknik ATMI Surakarta, 30 participants composed of CEOs, international networking officers (INOs), and other senior leaders came together to represent 18 member institutions from 9 countries, marking yet another milestone in the continued growth of AJCU-AP as the largest to date and most well-attended meeting of the Association.

The CEOs will meet again in August 2027, this time in Chiang Rai, Thailand, and will be hosted by Xavier Campus.

The Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities – Asia Pacific (AJCU-AP) held the 16th Global Leadership Program at Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea, from 9 to 15 August. This year’s theme was “Global Citizenship and Higher Education.”

GLP aims to provide opportunities for students from Jesuit universities to discuss global issues and prepare them to become leaders with global insight. This week-long programme includes lectures, presentations, fieldwork, and cultural performances oriented towards fostering Ignatian Leadership.

พิธีผูกข้อมือ เป็นประเพณีสำคัญที่เปี่ยมด้วยความหมายของชาวปกาเกอะญอ สายด้ายที่ผูกบนข้อมือมิได้เป็นเพียงสัญลักษณ์ของการอวยพร หากยังสะท้อนถึง ความเป็นหนึ่งเดียว ความปรารถนาดี ความเคารพ และสายสัมพันธ์ระหว่างบุคคล ครอบครัว และชุมชน

The 16th Service Learning Program (SLP) of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in Asia Pacific (AJCU-AP) took place in Timor-Leste from 2 to 16 August. Hosted by Instituto São João de Brito, the programme centred on the theme of peace and reconciliation, in particular, on the post-conflict experience of Timor-Leste.

SLP provides Jesuit university students an opportunity to apply the Ignatian Pedagogy in their everyday life through community service, cultural exchange, and reflective learning.

A shared commitment to Catholic education and international cooperation has brought Saint Michael College of Caraga, Inc. (SMCC) and Saengtham College, Xavier Campus, Chiang Rai, Thailand (SC-XCC) together through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding during the 32nd ASEACCU General Assembly and Conference 2026.

The agreement was formalized in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, by Rev. Fr. Ronniel G. Babano, STL, School President of SMCC, and Rev. Fr. Winai Boonlue, SJ, MA, PhD, Vice President of Saengtham College, Xavier Campus, during the August 19–21 gathering.

Grounded in the institutions’ shared commitment to education, the partnership seeks to advance student and faculty mobility, academic exchange, collaborative research, knowledge sharing, and other mutually beneficial educational initiatives.

The collaboration carries particular significance as both institutions belong to a broader community of Catholic educational institutions seeking to use education as a means of formation, service, dialogue, and human development.

Through partnerships such as this, SMCC expands not only its international presence but also opportunities for Michaelinians to encounter new cultures, perspectives, and educational environments while remaining grounded in values-centered formation.

Bound by mission and connected through education, SMCC and Saengtham College now move forward toward wider horizons together.
