This week, our young learners explored Jobs & Occupations through exciting math-based activities that brought learning to life. They counted medical supplies in the doctor's station, compared building blocks at the construction site, counted fruits in the chef's kitchen, and matched community helpers with the tools they use every day.

Along the way, children developed early numeracy skills, practiced comparing quantities, strengthened observation and classification, and discovered how mathematics connects with the real world around them.

สัปดาห์นี้ เด็กๆ ได้เรียนรู้หัวข้อ Jobs & Occupations ผ่านกิจกรรมที่ผสมผสานคณิตศาสตร์เข้ากับโลกแห่งอาชีพอย่างสนุกสนาน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการนับอุปกรณ์ของคุณหมอ เปรียบเทียบบล็อกของช่างก่อสร้าง นับผลไม้ของเชฟ และจับคู่เครื่องมือกับอาชีพที่ใช้งานจริง

At SAMs Inter Preschool Ubon Ratchathani, this week’s Jobs & Occupations theme was carefully designed to open meaningful learning experiences, allowing children to explore the world of work through creativity, imagination, and hands-on discovery.

Children participated in purposeful art activities:
Community Helpers Collage | Make Job Hats | Collage of the Workplace | Fashion Designer Paper Doll Creations

Each activity carried intentional learning goals:
• Community Helpers Collage – Identifying occupations and understanding community roles
• Make Job Hats – Encouraging imagination, self-expression, creativity, and fine motor skills
• Collage of the Workplace – Developing observation skills, thinking abilities, and real-world awareness
• Fashion Designer Paper Doll Creations – Enhancing creativity, design thinking, and coordination skills

Through these experiences, children shared ideas, collaborated with peers, and built confidence through creative expression.

More importantly, these moments lay the foundation for lifelong learning—where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is nurtured, and every child is supported in discovering their potential.

This week’s Topic of the Week: Things, Purpose & Origin encourages children to ask “What is it?”, “Why was it made?”, and “Where did it come from?”—building curiosity through hands-on exploration.

🛩️⛵ Children design and create airplanes and rubber-band-powered boats, discovering how different objects are made for different purposes. Through these activities, they also experience STEM learning
🔬 Science– exploring force and motion,
💻 Technology– using tools and materials,
🛠️ Engineering – designing and improving their creations,
➕ Mathematics – measuring, counting, and comparing results.

🎨 Alongside creative art, matching games, and classification activities, children strengthen observation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills while having fun.
