Last Saturday, in recognition of World Environment Day and World Ocean Day, Caltech staff came together for a beach cleanup from MNEC to Farol Lighthouse.
Together, we collected a total of 150 kg of waste from the coastline, helping keep our beaches cleaner and protecting our marine environment.
Activities like this are a reminder that creating lasting environmental impact starts with collective action and everyday choices.
A big thank you to our team who participated and contributed their time and energy to make a difference.

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from QSI International School of Dili to the Caltech Environmental Material Recovery Centre and the Circul-R factory. ♻️🏭
During their visit on 14/05/2026, students explored how post-consumer materials are recovered, processed, and transformed into new products through circular solutions.
From learning about material recovery to seeing recycled materials become Circul-R boards, it was a great opportunity to connect sustainability with real-world action.
Thank you to the students and teachers for visiting and showing such curiosity and engagement. We hope the experience inspired new ideas about waste, resources, and the possibilities of a circular economy.

800,000kg of plastic recycled. ♻️
Caltech Environmental has successfully recycled 802,345kg of plastic through our Material Recycling Centre in Beduku, Comoro.
This material is processed through the Circul-R factory, where it is given a second life by being transformed into landscaping and board products.
This milestone reflects the continued commitment of our team and partners to advancing practical circular economy solutions in Timor-Leste and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Every kilogram recycled is a step towards a more sustainable future.

On 22 May, we were honoured to welcome a delegation from the Embassy of Japan in Timor-Leste to our yard in Beduku, Comoro. The delegation included Ambassador Mr. Yasushi Yamamoto, Deputy Head of Mission Ms. Yuki Sakai, and Second Secretary Ms. Murozono Kana.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Caltech developments training facilities, workwear showroom, and the Circul-R factory, where our team shared the circular economy initiatives we are implementing in Timor-Leste.
We sincerely thank the Embassy of Japan in Timor-Leste for taking the time to visit and learn more about our operations and sustainability initiatives. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and strengthening our partnership into the future.
