Joana is representing Circul-R and Timor-Leste at the ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Circular Economy (ARDCE), held at the New World Hotel in Makati City, Philippines. (22-23 Sept)

Circul-R was invited by the Timor-Leste Ministry of Education, Higher Education, Science and Culture to participate and showcase Timor-Leste’s circular economy initiatives to the wider ASEAN community.

With participation supported by the Timor-Leste Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this is a great opportunity to share the work happening at Circul-R factory in Beduku, Comoro,Timor-Leste with the wider ASEAN community, we’re proud to share the story of Circul-R and showcase our range of recycled products made from post-consumer materials.

It’s a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and demonstrate how solutions in Timor-Leste can contribute to the growing circular economy across the region.

A cleaner coastline starts with community action.

On 29 August 2026, we were proud to support the Telemor Community Care Events 2026 beach cleanup at Habibie Bridge (Beach Side) – Largo Lecidere.

As part of our sponsorship, Caltech Environmental provided waste collection services and collected the recyclable materials recovered during the cleanup.

The result? 480 kg of recyclable waste collected from the beach, giving these materials an opportunity to be recovered and put back into use rather than ending up in our environment.

We’re proud to support initiatives that bring people together to make a real difference.
Together, we can turn waste into worth.

Problem-solving in action at Caltech Group.

When the shredder at our waste-processing facility needed a 700kg shaft replaced, our team faced a challenge. A crane couldn’t access the work area, and bringing one in would have been costly and impractical.
Rather than letting that stop the job, our team put their specialist skills to work.

Miguel Fecunda da Costa and Olderico Lopes, both Advanced Scaffolders with offshore experience at the Bayu-Undan facility, designed and built two independent scaffold towers connected by a ladder beam, creating a safe and stable lifting point capable of carrying the load.
Supported by offsiders Domingos Pereira Martins, Aderito Manuel Soares and Constancio Gomes Fernandes, the crew constructed the entire structure in just four hours.

This allowed our mechanics to safely remove and reinstall the 700kg shaft without the need for a crane.
It’s a great example of bringing together skills, experience and people from across our business to solve problems safely, efficiently and practically.
The specialist capabilities developed through their offshore operations don’t stay offshore. They strengthen our teams across Caltech and create opportunities for our people to continue contributing across the Group.

This month, we welcomed the preschool and Grade 3 students from SIS Singapore International School for a visit to the Circul-R factory and Caltech Environmental’s Material Recovery Centre. ♻️

After touring Aqua Fresca Water earlier that day, the students had the opportunity to follow the journey of recyclable materials one step further, from collection to recovery and, ultimately, transformation into Circul-R products.

It was especially meaningful to show the students that the recyclable materials collected at Aqua Fresca Water are sent directly to our Material Recovery Centre, where they are sorted and prepared for recycling through the circular economy. 🌱

The visit was a great hands-on opportunity for the students to see recycling in action and learn how materials that might otherwise become waste can be given a new life. 🌍💚

A big thank you to SIS Singapore International School for visiting us and helping inspire the next generation to think differently about waste and the value of our resources!

🌍♻️ Together for a Cleaner Tomorrow!

Last week, we were delighted to support Telemor Green Day by providing waste collection services during their beach clean-up initiative.

Through this meaningful activity, they collected 800 kg of waste that was then transported to our Material Recovery Center. The recyclable materials will then be sorted, recovered, and transformed into valuable new resources instead of ending up in landfill.

Caltech Group is proud to be part of this environmental initiative and contribute to creating a cleaner and more sustainable Timor-Leste.

Every piece of waste collected and all recycling effort brings us one step closer to protecting our environment. Together, let's continue reducing waste, recycling more, and keeping our beaches beautiful for future generations.
