Last Friday was a Dream. 🥹

Growing up in Canada and playing basketball, I was rarely exposed to professional women’s sports - aside from the occasional WNBA game we were lucky enough to catch on TV.

On Friday night, the tipped off their very first official WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) game, and I got to be part of a historic moment I’ll never forget. It felt like a reunion - catching up with old friends, mentors, coaches, teammates, and so many people from the basketball community.

But the best part for me was taking a moment to scan the arena and soak it all in. Seeing so many little girls and boys in the stands wearing Tempo jerseys and T-shirts alongside their parents and friends was incredibly emotional.

They’re going to grow up in a world where professional women’s basketball exists in Toronto. That will be their norm. Their expectation. And that’s how dreams are built (and how young girls stay in sport) - when you can see it, experience it, and feel it, you start to believe you can be it too.

I love the direction women’s sports in Toronto are heading: , .toronto, the — professional women’s teams that simply didn’t exist when I was a kid. 🥹

Here’s to the Toronto Tempo, to creating new pathways for young girls in professional sports, and to giving the next generation even more opportunities to dream big.

2025 was a FULL year!

Full of God’s love, patience, kindness and faithfulness. Through the people, places, challenges, triumphs and everything in between, He was always on display. I serve an amazing God, and I’m thankful for this little/big life he has given me.
