And just like that, it feels like we are closing the final pages of one of the greatest journeys football has ever seen.
I supported Messi through the magic, the heartbreak, the criticism, the disappointments and finallyā¦ the ultimate glory. During the World Cup, I was criticized for how passionately I supported Messi and Argentina but did it faze me? NOT. ONE. BIT. šš¦š·
And today, Iām just grateful.
Grateful that I didnāt only watch his greatness through a television screen. I had the privilege of seeing Messi play more than once in Barcelona and again with Inter Miami. Memories I will carry for the rest of my life.
Watching him leave the stadium last night was emotional. It suddenly hits you that nothing lasts forever, and that this incredible MessiāArgentina journey really is reaching its final chapter. š„¹
One day, another generation will watch the videos and hear the stories about Lionel Messi and wonder what it was like to witness him in his era.
And Iāll be able to say:
I WAS THERE.
I SAW HIM.
I LIVED IT. ā¤ļø
I witnessed the heartbreak.
I witnessed the comeback.
I witnessed the World Cup. š
And I got to see the GOAT with my own eyes.
