M***a gallery was established in 2004 and caters in all that is handmade. The goal is to preserve the Zanzibar handicrafts so these do not fade and pass the knowledge on to the youngsters who are eager to learn. At the workshop in the spice plantations of Zanzibar Kidichi you can try out the loom and make your own handwoven "kikoi" cloth as well as lay your hand on batik making which you can eventually tailor into your own dress or shirt.. A whole afternoon of creativity and well combined with a spice tour through the plantation which are just a stone throw away from the workshop.
