While many of our events are organized for the Drupal community and open to anyone local, this is what happens inside our team during the first half of 2026:

💻 We kicked off 2026 by celebrating Programmer’s Day with our team.

👥 watch party at our coworking space and stayed connected with the Drupal community that way.

🎬 We have another little tradition – occasional team movie nights. This time, we watched Idiocracy.

🧠 To give our brains a little workout, we also organized a Video Quiz about music and TV series.

💙💛 We always find a way to celebrate and support Ukrainian traditions, and Vyshyvanka Day was no exception!

🍕✍️ Lunch & Learn sessions are our new team initiative. This time we talked about AI, AI Agents.md, and security/permissions in particular.

🍺 The most recent event so far was a visit to a local Luchan brewery.

We organised another 31st Drupal Café Lutsk event
2 sessions out of 3 were on the AI topic, highlighting its long-term ongoing trend in IT.

First, Olya Sozonik from AnyforSoft investigated how AI affects our lives from a cultural angle. Using ideas from the World Happiness Summit to show how teams can use AI to boost teamwork and promote digital well-being, rather than just chasing efficiency for its own sake.

In the second session, Artem Sylchuk from DevBranch discussed the Claude model, revealing it as a stateless process. He highlighted the vital role of human engineers to be "context architects and code reviewers." This reinforced that while AI is powerful, human creativity is still essential.

The final talk by Oleh Kulakevych from STUDIO covered the Apple ecosystem under Tim Cook, detailing device releases and services. He brought up that one reason for Cook's departure could be Apple’s lack of its own AI system, emphasizing that AI is driving significant changes in leadership.

This event marked a first for Drupal Café, with all three sessions connected to AI. As AI continues to shape the world, we look forward to the next Drupal Café in August.

We’ve organized the 30th Drupal Café Lutsk!

The very first Drupal Café in Lutsk took place in 2016 with nearly 40 attendees. Over the years, participation steadily grew and eventually exceeded 100 people per event, making Drupal Café Lutsk the largest free Drupal meetup in the world. Today, the event is held four times a year, and we’ve just celebrated our 30th one.

Of course, the journey had its ups and downs and a few surprises along the way. One highlight was when we placed Drupal founder Dries Buytaert on the event logo, and he personally approved it!

Finding the right venue was another challenge. After several locations, DevBranch built its own office in 2021, including a room designed as a conference hall for community events. The format also evolved: what started with two technical Drupal talks expanded to three sessions, adding a non-technical IT topic to reach a broader audience.

It should be mentioned that we often have speakers who are our IT colleagues currently serving in the Defence Forces of Ukraine. They share how their IT knowledge and skills help them in service, giving the community a unique insight and inspiring real-life stories.

30 events. Hundreds of talks. Thousands of conversations. And the community keeps growing.

We’ve celebrated the 10th anniversary of DevBranch.ㅤ

Since late 2015, we have been a part of Drupal 6 - Drupal 11 projects.
And frankly, looking forward to being a part of the Drupal version 17 release in the next 10-year milestone.
The growth has been exactly by x10 team members.
From 5 founding fathers, to 50+ people at the moment.
And frankly, not looking forward to the same x10 numbers in the next 10 years to 500 people 🙃
