says changing weather patterns mean Uganda can no longer fully rely on rainfall to sustain agricultural production.

Tumwebaze says Government is therefore planning to expand irrigation and water infrastructure in districts across the country to support farmers amid changing weather conditions.

He was speaking today, October 7, during a two-day consultative meeting between MAAIF and district local government leaders aimed at identifying agricultural interventions based on the specific needs of different parts of the country.
