Media Challenge Initiative (MCI) is a not-for-profit building the next generation of journalists, storytellers, and leaders in Uganda & Africa who are equipped to create change in their communities using media & runs the MCI Media Hub,a media incubation .
Storytelling has the power to shape how we see Uganda, and how the world sees us. 🇺🇬
We were pleased to welcome Alan Kasujja from the to the MCI Media Hub for a closer look at the work we’re doing to strengthen Uganda’s storytelling and media landscape.
During the visit, Allan toured the Café & Museum, connected with fellows from our program, and explored the Switch Africa newsroom getting a glimpse into the spaces, platforms and people driving MCI’s work.
At MCI, we believe one of Uganda’s biggest challenges is not a lack of stories, but how those stories are told. We are working to equip young journalists and storytellers with the skills, platforms and confidence to tell stories that are credible, compelling and capable of making people believe in Uganda and its potential.
That is a vision strongly shared by the Uganda Media Centre, and this visit opened the door for deeper conversations.
When we tell better stories about Uganda, we help build a Uganda people can believe in. 🇺🇬
