A herd of African Savanna Elephants dust-bathing in an effort to rid themselves of the irritating insects as well as creating a sun-block (you can call it sunscreen) by mixing the dust with the moist body which later on dries up and creates a rough coating that these biting insects can not pe*****te.

Intresting facts about rhinos (rhinoceroses) 🦏

* A rhino’s horn is made of keratin, the same material as human hair and nails—not bone.
* Despite their size, rhinos can run up to 50–55 km/h for short distances.
* ⁠Rhinos have poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell and hearing.
* Rhinos are herbivores, feeding on grass, leaves, shoots, and fruits.
* Rhinos love mud wallows, which help cool their bodies and protect their skin from insects and sunburn.
* ⁠They play an important role in the ecosystem by shaping vegetation and creating grazing paths for other animals.
* Rhinos communicate using sounds, body language, and dung piles.

Lions mating in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kasenyi Plains.

Did you know lions have an intense and frequent mating ritual. When a male and female are ready to mate, they separate from the pride and can mate every 15 to 30 minutes sometimes up to 50 times a day for several days.

Each mating lasts only a few seconds. This frequent activity increases the chances of conception.

During this time, the pair rarely eat or hunt, fully focused on the mating process.

Tibu the famous brother to Jacob the 3 legged legend tree - climbing lion.

Together with his brother Jacob, Tibu swam 1.5KM across the crocodile 🐊 and hippo 🦛 infested Kazinga Channel.

It took them about 45 minutes and was the first time this was ever recorded for lions. Thy did it to find new territory and mates after losing a fight with rival males.

A giraffe’s spots are like human fingerprints: no two individuals have exactly the same pattern.

The heart of a giraffe weighs roughly 25 pounds and is powerful enough to pump blood all the way up its long neck to the brain
Giraffe sleeps in short segments of only 1 to 35 minutes

Lion cubs are quick developers and start to walk at 10 to 15 days old. They also grow baby teeth while they are very young.

Baby lions are totally dependent on their mothers for food and protection during the first few months. The lionesses will keep her cubs hidden from other lions for up to two months. After this time, she brings them out of hiding and introduces them to the rest of the pride.

The lion cubs spend a lot of time playing or sleeping during their first few months.

L’Hoest Monkeys are omnivores, feeding on fruits, leaves, flowers, seeds and insects.
