you keep thinking
you’re the one
holding everything together

but look at Him

walking ahead of you
through places
you haven’t even stepped into yet

fields you haven’t seen
paths you haven’t chosen
days you haven’t lived

He’s already there

you worry about tomorrow
like it hasn’t already
passed through His hands

like He hasn’t already
walked every step
you’re afraid to take

but He has

He knows the turns
the waiting
the moments that will stretch you
and the ones that will heal you

and still—
He walks gently

not rushing you
not leaving you behind

just calling you forward

like a Shepherd
who has never once
lost one of His own

so why are you carrying
what He already holds?

why are you trying to control
what He’s already gone before you in?

you were never meant
to lead your life

you were meant
to follow Him

and trust
that wherever He leads

there is still goodness
still peace
still Him

waiting for you
right there
