Mills began his journey with Aveanna right after he came home from the NICU in 2021. With his trach and G-tube, Mills required attentive and nurturing care as he began his new adventure at home for the first time.

Nurse Supervisor Erin connected Mills and his family with a group of compassionate clinicians who they could trust, lean on, and learn from. His nurses Morgan, Madi, and Ashley were there for countless milestones, ensuring Mills and his family never felt alone in their care journey. His therapists, Brooke and Shelley, celebrated the little victories, pushed Mills when he needed it, and always saw his capabilities.

Now, just in time for kindergarten, Mills has graduated from Aveanna! He was also decannulated, another milestone that's shown how far he's come.

"We are incredibly thankful for Aveanna and the people who have become such an important part of our family’s story," said Mills's family. "These women have not simply provided care or therapy—they have supported us, educated us, encouraged us, and helped carry us through some of the hardest moments. They are the reason families like ours can breathe a little easier, and that kind of care is something our family will never forget."
