Yom Kippur begins on September 20th at sundown: the holiest day of the Jewish year. Yom Kippur means the “Day of Atonement.” It is a day when we step away from the distractions of everyday life and we fast, pray, reflect, and look deeply within ourselves. But Yom Kippur is not only about asking God for forgiveness. Our tradition teaches that when we have hurt another person, we must also seek forgiveness from them. So before this sacred day begins, I want to say something from my heart ❤️👇🏽

To anyone I have ever hurt, whether through my words, my actions, my silence, knowingly or unknowingly, I am sorry. If I disappointed you, offended you, misunderstood you, judged you, or caused you pain in any way, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness. I know I am not perfect. None of us are. Yom Kippur reminds us that we are not defined by our mistakes, but by our willingness to recognize them, learn from them, make things right, and become better because of them. And just as I ask for forgiveness, I also choose to forgive.

Even if you are not Jewish, I encourage you to do this as it is a very powerful action filled with energy of TRANSFORMATION. And the power of forgiveness must not be underestimated. It is the greatest healing power to exist 😇

May we enter this new year carrying less resentment, less anger, and less weight from the past, and more love, compassion, understanding, and peace.

To everyone observing, may you have an easy and meaningful fast.

G’mar Chatima Tova.

May we all be sealed for a BEAUTIFUL year 😇
