DFW’s favorite guitar shop. Addison • Southlake • Fort Worth — and the only Plek in town.
Independent, musician-run, and stocked with the best guitars on the planet. Tone Shop Guitars was founded to provide a world class selection and experience for those passionate about guitar and making music. We are proud to have the largest acoustic guitar showroom in North Texas. Whether you are looking for Acoustics, Electrics, Amps, Pedals or more, we have all of the gear you need to make great music.
Your dream Martin starts with the wood you pick.
Our annual Martin Custom Shop wood selection is back for its third year. Martin is bringing wood and materials straight from the factory to our Addison store on Friday, October 9 and Saturday, October 10. Doty is booking hour-long appointments where you choose your woods, design every detail, and order your own Martin Custom Shop guitar, with Jimmy from the Custom Shop on hand to help. No two sets look alike, and you'll see and hold yours before a single cut is made. The only limit is your imagination.
Appointments only. Call or text 972-661-8663 to book your hour.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Taylor Tone Show this weekend.
A full room, a lot of new models getting played, and plenty of people hearing Taylors they had never had their hands on before. Aaron and JR from Taylor were fantastic all day, and we walked away with a lot of brand new Taylor owners.
That is Aaron with Andrew, an old friend from right here in DFW who stopped in for the event and went home with an 814ce Limited in Casablanca Beige. Hard to argue with that one.
Thank you to Taylor, and thank you to everyone who showed up. We will absolutely be doing this again.

Tomorrow, Taylor comes to Tone Shop Addison.
Taylor's factory experts are bringing the New Model Tone Show to our Addison store. Test-drive the new Claria pickup on Next Generation models, hear the vintage-style voice of the Gold Label Collection, and play Builder's Edition models and prototypes, all side by side.
Special in-store pricing all day, giveaways while supplies last, and a GS Mini deal with any qualifying Taylor that's too good to pass up.

This shape has been showing up on records since 1958.
Rickenbacker's 300 series arrived with the British Invasion and never left. Folk rock, punk, new wave, Britpop, indie. Every few years another band plugs one in and that chime sounds current all over again. This 360 is 58 years old, and feels and sounds unreal.
This 1968 360 in Fireglo sits at 7 lb 2.5 oz, with the bound body and crushed pearl triangle inlays that mark the Deluxe. Tyler gets into it.
We buy and consign vintage gear every day, in store and at toneshopguitars.com. If you have something sitting at home, bring it by Addison, Southlake, or Fort Worth.
Available now at Tone Shop Guitars.

Three new pedals in from Warm Audio, and they all hit.
The Peach Fuzz is a limited edition built with The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, based on the Foxy Tone Box, wrapped in peach s**g velvet with a momentary hold octave up that keeps the high notes soaring or drops the octave entirely.
The Centavo Mod keeps the exact same parts and circuit as the original Klon recreation, which is one of the shop's favorites. Now in a compact enclosure with top mount jacks, so it's not taking up half of your board.
The C1 Mod slims the chorus down the same way and adds a bypassable preamp for all two of you who want the modulation without the front end. The preamp rules, keep it on.
Swipe to see both Mods next to the originals.
Available now at Tone Shop Guitars.

A classic Custom - the Gibson Doves in Flight.
Mother of pearl Doves inlaid into the pickguard, then finished by hand. Flame maple back and sides under a Sitka top, traditional scalloped X-bracing, and a long 25.5" scale that gives it serious projection and attack. Antique Natural gloss nitro, Grover Keystones. Doty gets into it.
Available at Tone Shop Guitars.

A J-185 Gold Top in mahogany instead of maple.
That swap takes the snap off the top end and warms the voice, while the compact jumbo body keeps the punch and projection. Gold Top with a VOS finish, so it already looks settled in. Slim Taper neck, short scale, L.R. Baggs Element VTC. Doty gets into it.
Available now at Tone Shop Guitars.
