The Great Craft Migration has officially concluded. ✂️🎨🧶

Around 200 people joined us for the Craft Destash Bash, giving art and craft supplies new homes, sharing resources with our community, and helping us celebrate a major milestone: the opening of the Community Art Supply Pantry!

What began with the Craft Destash Bash is now something permanent. The Community Art Supply Pantry will continue as a free, year-round resource where community members can access donated art and craft supplies beyond our twice-yearly events.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated materials, volunteered, attended, shared the event, helped us organize, and supported the work that made this possible.

Tell us what you have and approximately how much.
WAIT FOR APPROVAL.
Regular donations must be scheduled and confirmed.
Never leave donations unattended or elsewhere in Summit Artspace.

Summit Artspace Resident Artists may use pantry, including making donations, at their discretion. Please help keep space clean.

🎨 USING THE PANTRY
Help us keep the pantry clean, safe, accessible and available for everyone.
• Take only what you can realistically use. No bulk removal for resale.
• Return supplies to their proper place.
• Keep food and drinks away from supplies.
• Do not open sealed materials unless taking them.
• Keep floors and walkways clear.
• Use the step stool for high shelves. Do not climb on furniture or shelving.
• Children must remain with a responsible adult.
• Inspect donated supplies before use and follow manufacturer safety instructions.
• Report spills, leaks or damaged materials to StarFall or Summit Artspace staff.

Supplies are donated and provided as-is. Donations are not tax-deductible.

Come browse donated art and craft supplies and **take what you can use for FREE**! We’ll have all kinds of creative materials looking for new homes, and you’ll also get to check out the new Community Art Supply Pantry.

👜 We recommend bringing a reusable bag or box for anything you take home.

Accessibility: Summit Artspace has a wheelchair-accessible front entrance and interior ramps leading to the loading dock event space. The loading dock can also be reached by stairs. Vehicles may pull up near the loading dock for easier unloading of donations.

🚗 Free parking is available beside Summit Artspace, with the parking lot entrance off Summit Street.

Come browse a huge variety of FREE art and craft supplies, find materials for your next project, and celebrate the grand opening of StarFall Creative Collective’s permanent Community Art Supply Pantry!

♻️ BRING SUPPLIES, TAKE SUPPLIES, OR JUST COME BROWSE
You do not need to donate anything to participate. All supplies are free and available to the community. If you have usable creative supplies you no longer need, we’ll also be accepting donations during the event.

🛍️ BRING A BAG OR BOX
We’ll have limited bags and boxes available, but we strongly recommend bringing your own tote, reusable bag, or cardboard box for your finds.

🎨 DONATIONS
We accept a wide range of usable art and craft materials, including paints, drawing supplies, brushes, paper, canvas, frames, yarn, fabric, fibers, collage materials, tools, and more. Please only bring materials that are clean, usable, and safe for another person to take home.

♿ ACCESSIBILITY
Summit Artspace has a wheelchair-accessible front entrance, with interior ramps leading to the loading dock/event space. Vehicles may pull up to the loading dock for easier unloading of art supply donations. The event is free to attend and donations are completely optional.

🚗 PARKING + ARRIVAL
Free parking is available beside Summit Artspace with the lot entrance off Summit Street. For the easiest route, approach from Summit Street. Because of Akron Marathon activity that morning, we recommend using the Waze app for updated information on road closures.

The Community Art Supply Pantry was made possible through an ArtsNow ArtsForward grant, with fiscal sponsorship and space provided by Summit Artspace. We’re excited to finally share this permanent, free creative resource with the community.

AKRON MARATHON ROAD CLOSURE INFO: SEPT. 26

The Akron Marathon is happening the morning of our Craft Destash Bash & Grand Opening of our Community Art Supply Pantry event, but we are still open 12-5 PM at Summit Artspace!

The E. Market Street closure in downtown Akron is scheduled to end around 10:30 AM, before our event begins.

For the easiest route to Summit Artspace, take Route 8 → Perkins St. → Summit St. and approach the building from Summit Street.

Free parking is located beside Summit Artspace, with the parking lot entrance off Summit Street. This is also the side of the building with the loading dock, where the event will be held.

If E. Market Street is still closed, an alternate route is E. Mill St. → Summit St.

Some marathon road closures elsewhere in Akron will continue into the afternoon, so please use Waze for real-time directions and road closures rather than relying on your usual route.

The event will be taking place behind this garage door with stairs and access from the parking lot. This is the side of the building, right from the front entrance.

Ramp access available through regular front door entrance, enter through intersections gallery.

Craft Destash Bash + Community Art Supply Pantry

Can’t make it to Craft Destash Bash but still have art supplies you’d like to donate? We’re offering an early donation drop-off the weekend before the event.

Drop off clean, usable art and craft supplies at Summit Artspace on Saturday, September 19 from 12–5 PM. Use the side entrance/loading dock from the parking lot at:

140 E Market St, Akron, OH 44308

You can pull your car up to the loading dock for easier unloading. The event space is behind the garage door on the side of the building, to the right of the main entrance. Ramp-accessible entry is available through Summit Artspace’s regular front entrance and through Intersections Gallery.

Your donated supplies help stock the StarFall Community Art Supply Pantry and the upcoming Craft Destash Bash, keeping creative materials circulating in our community instead of going to waste. This project is rooted in mutual aid: share what you can, take what you can use, and help make art supplies more accessible to everyone.
