Spark Physical Therapy
We are athletes-turned-therapists who created a clinic that we would want to go to if we got hurt.
We help active people stay active and accomplish the goals that matter most to them.

Pain doesn’t have to mean the end of your PRs, your long runs, or your Saturday deadlift sessions. We don’t just chase symptoms, we find the root cause so you can train through it instead of sitting on the sidelines waiting for it to “just go away.” Whether it’s a knee that flares up after every run or a shoulder that’s been off for months, our job is to get you back to the version of you that trains hard and feels good doing it. If you’re tired of being told to rest and hope for the best, we should talk.
We hear these thoughts constantly. “If I just rest long enough it’ll go away.” “Maybe I’m just too old for this.” “I’ve tried everything and nothing’s worked.” Almost every patient who walks through our door has thought some version of this. And almost every one of them gets to the other side of it. Once we actually understand what’s causing the pain, we can build a real plan around it and keep training instead of sitting out for weeks, months, years, you get it. The only thing that makes it worse is waiting. If this note sounds like something you’d write, don’t sit on it, and it doesn’t have to stay true.

When’s the last time you thought about your bladder habits? If you’re running to the bathroom every hour “just in case,” straining to go, or leaking when you sneeze or lift, those aren’t just quirks you have to live with. They’re signs your pelvic floor could use some attention, and the good news is they’re very treatable. Save this for reference and reach out if any of the “abnormal” column sounds a little too familiar.

If you’ve been putting off pelvic floor PT because you’re not sure what to expect, we want you to know you’re in exactly the right place. Your first visit starts with your therapist taking the time to understand what’s going on, your symptoms, your history, your goals. From there we look at the whole picture, your low back, hips, core coordination, and posture, because your pelvic floor doesn’t work in isolation and neither does your care. An internal assessment can offer valuable insight, but it is never a requirement, it only happens with your full consent. You’ll walk out with a real plan and real strategies, not just answers, but a foundation you can build on for the long haul. Nervous is normal, and it doesn’t mean you’re not ready. Head to the link in our bio to book a free phone call, and let’s talk through whether pelvic floor PT is the right next step for you. 💛

This is exactly why we do what we do. This patient came to us dealing with lower back pain and had no idea it could be connected to pelvic floor function, that’s actually more common than you’d think. Dr. Alison took the time to listen, explain what was really going on, and build a plan that actually addressed the root of the problem instead of just masking the pain. If you’ve been dealing with pain that nothing else has fixed, or you’ve been curious about pelvic floor PT but weren’t sure if it was “worth it,” let this be your sign. Dr. Alison is incredible, and the first step is connecting with our team using the link in the bio. We can’t wait to help!
I tore my labrum a few years back in a traumatic injury and had it surgically repaired. I went through PT, got my strength back, and could’ve stopped there. Most people do. The second the pain is gone they figure the job is done and move on. But here’s the thing, “good enough” isn’t the finish line, it’s just the point where most people stop looking for more. I still do exercises like this every week, not because my shoulder hurts, but because taking care of your body isn’t a phase you complete, it’s something you keep doing for life. Your health isn’t a project with an end date. It’s a habit you either keep or you lose.
