We’re looking for people from our church family who would be interested in helping by doing one or more of the following:

*Setting up and tearing down
*Decorating a car trunk (in the style of Trunk-or-Treat)
*Guiding traffic in the parking lot
*Running games and activities
*Sharing the gospel and inviting attendees to church

THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who helped with Sunday Serve Day yesterday!

Together we cleaned up schools, encouraged the elderly, blessed the sick, and served others in need, all while building relationships with each other.

Keep an eye out for updates on each individual serve site throughout this week and next!

This Sunday is Serve Day at Movement Church, which means instead of a regular service we will break into groups to serve at sites in and around our community. If you’re unfamiliar with Sunday Serve Day (or just need a refresher), here are a few things to do in preparation:

1. Register to Serve — If you haven’t registered to serve this weekend, we need a head count so we know how many people to send to each site. If you haven’t yet registered, you can do so by simply saying “I’ll help!” in the comments or by sending us a private message. (Please let us know if you have any physical limitations or special skills that might be helpful as well.)

2. Watch for a Text — We’ll send out a text to every volunteer registered with information regarding their site and what, if anything, they need to bring with them to their site.

3. Set your alarm for a few minutes earlier on Sunday — We will meet at 10:30 AM on Sunday instead of our usual 11:00 AM start time. This gives us a chance to get organized and to pray together before we head out into the community.

4. Pray — Begin praying for our teams and for those they will impact. Pray that God would bless our efforts and that those being helped would feel the love of Christ through us.

Yesterday we were joined by Dr. Ken and Amy Lowe, missionaries to Portugal, during our worship service.

Ken shared about their ministry before leading us through Romans 5:1-5, which describes not only how a person is saved but also gives us the path to peace and unbreakable hope!

Today, we’re flashing back to our spring Sunday Serve Day as we prepare for our fall Serve Day on Sunday, October 4th!

We’ll be serving at sites in and around the Portage Lakes as a way of blessing those in need of help and encouragement.

Connect Groups are launching this Sunday morning!

Connect Groups are the small groups ministry of Movement Church, and they are an opportunity for us to grow together and get to know each other face-to-face.

The fall session will last 8 weeks, and we’ve got a variety of leaders, topics, and times for you to pick from.

Join us this Sunday morning as the group leaders present their groups in more detail. We’ll give you an opportunity to register for the group of your choice at the end.
