Musical Arts of St. Sebastian presents Barbara O’Brien & Julie McGough 🪈🎶
We present an afternoon of beautiful flute music featuring accomplished flutists Barbara O’Brien and Julie McGough on Sunday, October 11, at 4 p.m. at St. Sebastian Church.
Both performers are members of the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra and have distinguished careers as professional musicians, soloists, and educators. Their program will feature works by Beeftink, Briccialdi, Coleman, Hindemith, Kuhlau, Rossi, and Telemann, including Fine Lines, a new work by Natalie Joachim for flute duet and electronic accompaniment.
The concert is free and open to the public. We look forward to welcoming you for an inspiring afternoon of music!

In two weeks, Fr. Marcelli will be our Theology on the Rocks speaker, and we can't wait to have him back in town with us! He will be speaking on Artificial Intelligence and the Magnificence of Humanity. We're intrigued! We hope to see you there!
Come enjoy Paul Fey in person tomorrow at 4pm! This kicks off our Musical Arts Season which all events are free and open to the public.
A free will offering will be accepted to support the Lynn Frey-Steward Organ Scholarship, which encourages and supports young people to pursue the study of the organ.

We loved welcoming our Parish School first graders to church for a special tour with Fr. Joseph and our Youth Minister, Mallory!
Students had the opportunity to learn more about the sanctuary, explore the statues throughout the church, and even take a look inside the confessional. It was a special way for our youngest students to become more familiar with their parish home and grow in their understanding of our Catholic faith. 💚💛

Our eighth graders (and Fr. Joseph!) had a wonderful time at their confirmation retreat this past weekend Damascus Mission. They climbed to new heights, lived the adventure, and grew deeper in their relationship with Christ. Please continue to pray for these students as they prepare for their confirmation in the spring. 🔥🕊️

It was so wonderful having Abigail and Mary join us this past summer!
Next up in our Summer Intern Spotlight: Mary Sboray and Abigail Hassenzahl, who served at St. Sebastian!
During their summer of service, Mary and Abigail experienced parish ministry firsthand, grew in faith, built relationships, and discerned how God might be calling them to serve His Church.
Thank you to our friends at St. Sebastian for welcoming and mentoring them!
God bless you, Mary and Abigail, as you go forth unto all the world!
