This morning A-Shift and C-Shift crews were on scene of a residential fire in the 1800 block of Manchester Rd. Fire was quickly extinguished and no reported injuries. Great work to all crews!

This past weekend our Akron Fire Department Athletes took on the Firefighter Challenge at Nationals in Erie, PA. They did not just show up they SHOWED OUT!
Fierce competition and unforgettable moments, they brought home some impressive hardware and made all of AKRON PROUD!

One ordinary day turned extraordinary when Brian Booth’s heart suddenly stopped after completing the Akron Marathon 2025. In an instant, life as he knew it was hanging by a thread. Thanks to quick action, skilled hands, and what can only be described as a miracle, he’s still here breathing, smiling, and holding his loved ones close.
Today, he’s not just surviving, he’s thriving. His journey is a powerful reminder that every heartbeat is a gift, and every day is a chance to live with gratitude and purpose.
