Ellena with GS troop 28212 donated a reusable “blind date with a book” kit!
She sewed each individual bag and came up with a card that can be filled out and attached. She came up with this sustainable solution instead of wasting paper to wrap them. She also came up with bookmark recommendations for books in our library! You can take one of her bookmarks if you’re looking for your next read! Thank you Ellena!

Luna with GS troop 28212 donated a gumball machine full of writing prompts.
She painted the machine and came up with the prompts! Her project is appealing to the teens searching for a creative outlet. Stop by the library and try out one of her prompts! And if you are inspired please share your work with us!
Thank you, Luna!

Maggie with GS troop 28212 donated graffiti boards, bookmark making kits and book recommendation slips as a part of her Silver Award project.
Teens: stop by and recommend your favorite books! Pick up your book mark kit at the desk today!
With the graffiti boards Maggie is incorporating teen voices for collaboration. Teens can write recommendations of their favorite titles and stories! Taking it a step further, they can leave detailed recommendations in the books. She also hand assembled kits that can be picked up at the desk to create bookmarks!
Thank you Maggie for all of your hard work and support of the library.

Olivia with GS troop 28212 donated a Crochet Kit, painting set, and extra yarn as a part of her Silver Award project.
With the crochet kit she worked hard to come up with a sustainable gift that would benefit patrons. There is enough yarn that the kit can be reused numerous times. The canvases donated will be available for other teens to take and paint to be displayed at the library. She has also donated much of her time to help re-sticker the entire teen fiction collection by genre. We thank Olivia for all of her hard work and her support of the library!
