Concreteworks

We welcome Alex Pomerantz, our new Head of Partnerships, to the team!

Alex brings a relationship-driven perspective shaped by years of experience in hospitality and w**e. As the owner of Bar Gemini, where Concreteworks fabricated the custom terrazzo bar top, he shares our appreciation for beautiful design, materiality, and the spaces that bring people together:

"Mark and I have been friends for almost ten years, ever since we hit it off at a tasting event in Oakland where I was pouring w**e. I've spent 15 years building relationships around food and w**e, and I've come to understand how much those connections can mean. I'm looking forward to bringing that same spirit to Concreteworks and MANOS, building partnerships and creative collaborations while celebrating craftsmanship and materials alongside Mark and the team. As we continue to innovate and lead the industry, I'm excited to learn what inspires the architecture and design community and how we can keep contributing to that work."

Alex will work closely with our collaborators to support new projects and build lasting partnerships. Please expect to hear from him soon.

Commissioned as part of the city’s 1% for the Arts Initiative, the installation translates Wolff’s distinctive visual language into a permanent architectural expression.
