Asher Dean Racing
Asher started racing outlaw karts in April of 2021. Follow along to watch his journey while he navigates this fun sport!

Asher had a blast tonight! He went 1st to 4th in his heat. He was just so much more underpowered than the others. That didn’t stop him from starting 6th of 7 in the main though! He quickly dropped back to 7th on the start and a lap in avoided a wreck right in front of him like the true kart kid he is. He ended the night 5th and came home with a payout! $20. 🙌🏼 We also had some special visitors - Auntie Allison, Uncle Alan, Chase and Owen. Thanks for coming!
First big car race of his career is in the books!

Rollin’ out the hornet for the first time at Sunset Speedway tonight in what we’re pretty sure is the only stock car. 😂 Somehow we got the lucky pill draw to start on the pole. Defense on the bottom is going to be our strategy for tonight. 🚗 💨
Had another practice at a Willamette Speedway and shaved 2 seconds off his average lap time! He’s getting more confident and itching to race!
First practice was a major success! No walls were hurt and he kept it straight. He was even able to pass a car! He’s begging to race the 100 lapper tomorrow but…

We’re here at Willamette Speedway ready for Asher to rip some laps for the first time in the hornet. 🐝 Taking bets on how many laps until it hits the wall. Swapping to front wheel drive is going to be a learning curve we think!
Asher got called for stopping on the track and was made to leave after avoiding karts going around a spin. Curious on everyone’s opinion, should he have been given a caution for this? Or was he ok since his tires never stopped?

Asher drove hard today and went from the C to the B mains. He was in a transfer spot for the A main when another kart spun out causing a pileup and he had nowhere to go. It caused him to slow down and they called him for the caution. A bummer (and wrong) call but what can we do. We absolutely couldn’t have asked for him to drive any differently today and come back from yesterday. He ended up 18th out of 29 overall. For being one of the youngest 250 drivers we are super proud of how much he’s learned an grow as a driver this year. Next year will be a fun and hopefully winning year for him!
It’s always nice when one of your sponsors takes time to come to a race, especially a long 4 day race. Sunriver Glass and Mirror may be family but we are so thankful for their support and cheering Asher on in person. To all our other sponsors, you are SO appreciated! Thank you for supporting our boy and giving him the gear and kart he needs to succeed.
