Albany SXS Short Course Racing

For all people attending FREE Saturday practice. Gates open at 8 am, practice will be from 9-3. You will sign a track waiver going through the gate. We will have a table set up under the starting line area to check in and get your practice sticker. We will have different groups to practice.

New beginner slow
New beginner medium pace
New fast pace and sportsman racers
Pro intermediate racers
We will hand out a colored sticker for each group. Be honest and talk to the person at the table on your speed and ability. This is for everyone’s safety.
Each group will get 5 laps then pull off and wait for your group again. We will be announcing over the PA system the upcoming groups. We will cycle this all day long. If you feel after a round or so your in the wrong group please see the table again for a different sticker. If your sharing machines we will give each driver a sticker for the machine. Sticker should be visible from the front of the machine. Helmets and belts required- NO glass windshields-
Enter the track next to the start line when your group is up the starter will direct you onto the track. The finish line tower will give you a checkered flag when your group time is up please exit the track after the finish line corner. We will limit how many machines are on track at one time, this may require a couple groups in the same color/group. Please have patience and respect as we get through the excitement. Snack shack may be lengthy times so please give some understanding to our volunteers and staff. Enjoy the day !! Thank you in advance. Hey everyone just a reminder we have a free practice this Saturday from 9-3 at Albany. Bring your sxs out to try out the track. No glass windshields, must have harnesses and wear a helmet. Great day of racing for round 4. We had 49 racers and perfect weather. The track was fast and fun. Thanks to all the racers and spectators. Thanks to Power Motorsports as our main sponsor and to Celtic homes racing, Fasturn UTV and DB motorsports for all the help and support.

Remember folks we are racing this weekend. Friday practice and Saturday racing. Friday practice is 4-6 $25. Gates open about 230pm. Saturday sign up is 7-8, drivers meeting about 815 followed by a few track pack laps. Racing should start about 9-930. Gate fee 15$ first class 50$ additional classes 40$ we will have a 50/50 drawing and some raffle items thanks to our sponsor Power Motorsports.

To add or elaborate on the last post- One of the biggest challenges in grassroots racing today is finding legitimate businesses willing to invest back into our sport. Some of the Albany sxs racers traveled to Core Powersports Burnt Ridge track this weekend for some racing. Team Celtic trophied 14 races. 9 of our other racers also trophied. Guaranteed the Albany track was a major contributor to the awesome results. Next round at Albany is July 25th for round 4- racer practice Friday July24th.
