I couldn’t sleep last night so I worked on these journals for Raven’s school while watching 50 first dates. Each attempt failed and I felt like Lucy every time I had to start over.
The canvas was so messed up that I wouldn’t want anyone to have to use it.. but perhaps there is a lesson in that as well.
I know what setting I need to implement now and I look forward to posting when I have a finished journal to show you.
Wood. My favorite element to work with.
FINALLY got this project sent to its rightful place!

Found a friendly portal on our hike yesterday. My friend described it as a witchy cream catcher. It was in a ray of light on the trail and it also looked like a wind chime to me or a mobile.. perhaps this is good inspiration for future hanging art..🤔
You can’t see it but there was a single translucent spider in the center.
Office shenanigans!

Admittedly, my favorite form of procrastination is cleaning, organizing, and making a suitable place to create once my son is asleep.
It used to take a few hours when it was just me but realizing that the house won’t be cleaned in a day but that I need to do it in parts each day has been a bit of a leaning curve.
But “cluttered desk cluttered mind” as they say. This is just one area I’ve managed to carve out but the rest is total chaos. 😅
Tomorrow I will finally be able to make something. My daily affirmation: I am relentless
Don’t count me out just yet. 😘
