Singapore Army and LOGCOM Exchange Perspectives on Logistics Readiness
Marine Corps Logistics Command hosted representatives from the Singapore Army’s Combat Service Support Command and HQ Supply / Maintenance and Engineering Support Sept. 10 for a professional exchange focused on sustainment and logistics readiness.
During the visit, the delegation received an overview of LOGCOM’s mission and discussed weapon systems management, data and analytics, depot-level maintenance, materiel storage and supply chain operations. The group also toured Marine Force Storage Command and Marine Depot Maintenance Command to see firsthand how LOGCOM manages, preserves, maintains and restores equipment to support Marine Corps readiness.
The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on shared logistics challenges, including maintenance modernization, warehouse automation, asset visibility, strategic pre-positioning and sustaining forces across distributed operating environments.
Visits like this strengthen relationships between logistics professionals, promote interoperability and provide opportunities to share approaches for delivering the right materiel and capabilities where and when they are needed.

Col. Stephen M. Cook, Marine Forces Reserve (MFR) G-4, visited Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) and Marine Forces Storage Command (MFSC) locations to advance enterprise-level coordination and strengthen the readiness and long-term stewardship of MFR In-Stores equipment.
During the visit, Cook met with LOGCOM and MFSC leadership and toured 2d Force Storage Battalion (2d FSB) operations to identify opportunities to enhance shared readiness visibility, align sustainment priorities and resources and institutionalize enduring processes that ensure MFR equipment remains postured to support mobilization, force generation and emerging operational requirements.
The engagement reinforced the enduring LOGCOM-MFR partnership and highlighted the critical role MFSC and 2d FSB play in preserving MFR capability, reducing Service-level readiness risk and ensuring mission-ready equipment is available when and where required to support the Total Force.

Marine Corps Logistics Command operations research analyst Jason Terry developed the War Reserve Material Planning Tool to modernize how the command determines, analyzes and sources war reserve requirements in support of operational plans.
By bringing together logistics data and automating key planning processes, the tool has reduced some analytical timelines by 80%, giving planners more time to assess requirements, identify shortfalls and provide leaders with actionable information for decision-making.
Terry’s work recently earned him the Major Michael G. Whitaker Award for Data-Driven Logistics, recognizing his contribution to turning data into practical solutions that strengthen Marine Corps logistics and readiness.

What if the part a Marine needs doesn’t have to travel thousands of miles to reach the fight?
During Valiant Shield 26, Marine Corps Logistics Command and its partners demonstrated how the Digital Manufacturing Exchange, or DMX, can connect approved technical data, manufacturing capacity and expertise across the Indo-Pacific — giving Marines more options to produce critical components closer to the point of need.
Seven Marine Corps printers were connected through DMX during the exercise, supporting 19 completed prints representing 11 unique parts. The effort brought together operating forces, Marine Depot Maintenance Command, other military services, original equipment manufacturers and regional industry partners to test distributed manufacturing across a contested logistics environment.
DMX is not designed to replace the existing supply system. It provides commanders another option when time, distance and availability could affect readiness.
