Periwinkle Child Development Center

Big things are happening at Periwinkle! The LBCC Landscaping crew and Maintenance/Facilities have been super busy this summer prepping the ground and building a sandbox frame for our kiddos. New woodchips have been delivered and are being blown or shoveled into place. The new school year is just about to start!!

We are so excited for our preschoolers to start on September 21st!

We are SO disappointed about our graduation needing to be cancelled today... it broke our teacher hearts that the power outage impacted us in that way. 💔 We are working to find a time next week that we can reschedule, even though we know that many of our families might be heading out on vacation or other fun summer things you've got planned. Today we reflect on the critical support that the early childhood education system provides to our economy. If there were no childcare, families couldn't work to provide for their children. Our early educators are highly trained instructors- at Periwinkle alone we have 2 master's degrees, 6 bachelor's degrees, and 2 associate's degrees on our staff. We care for 55 children (and are about to expand that by 20 more in the fall!), allowing student-parents to have a safe, loving, and educational place for their children to be while they take classes or work. Please support universal childcare, because all children deserve to receive an early education.
