As we prepare for a new school year, we're inviting our community to help create welcoming spaces where children can learn and play.

Help us prepare our Head Start centers with safe playgrounds, manicured lawns, trimmed trees, clear walkways, and inviting outdoor spaces.

Because our program funding has limited resources for landscaping, we're asking caring community members to donate their time.

Locations include Newport, Lincoln City, and Toledo.

Volunteers should bring their own mowers, pruners, and other equipment.

In observance of Independence Day, all CSC offices are closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. We will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Head Start of Lincoln County offers free, 5-star rated preschool education for children ages 3–4. Our program helps kids build the skills they need for kindergarten and beyond while supporting families with resources and care.

Who qualifies?
Children ages 3–4 by September 1, 2026 can apply. Priority is given to those with the greatest need, including children in foster care and families experiencing homelessness, receiving benefits (ERDC, SNAP, TANF), or living on a low income.
