This city winter fest has been going on since 2015. It is an annual holiday event in the heart of downtown El Paso and runs for about 6 weeks long starting just few days before thanksgiving. The festival kicks off with a parade of lights featuring marching bands and performers, decorated floats and tree lighting ceremony. The San Jacinto plaza and surrounding areas are lit up with over a million lights, oversized decorations and a giant Christmas tree. There are food trucks, holiday market, live music and entertainment, ice skating rink, arts and crafts, free movies throughout the season and other activities for the whole family to enjoy!

Simple gulaman recipe. Boil under medium heat 3 bars to 9 cups of water and constant stirring until dissolved. Add the evaporated milk and sugar depending how sweet you want it. You may not need to add sugar if using condensed milk. Mix it well. You can add flavoring like vanilla, pandan or mint. Strain the jelly mixture and pour slowly into mold or container with the fruit cocktail. You can also use pineapple slices or raisins. Let it set, refrigerate. Enjoy!
