Hot Flash Glass

Glass friends,

This is a post from Paula McCoy . Paula owns Colors for Earth. She has shared so much of her knowledge freely to the glass world! I consider Paula a friend. She is more than deserving of our help! If you are able to donate even a small amount, please do. If you can not, please pray for Paula and her medical team as she fights this fight.

Hi friends,

This isn’t something I ever imagined I’d be sharing, but I want to be honest with those of you who have been part of my life for so many years.

I was recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a form of bone cancer), along with severe osteoporosis. For a long time I’ve been dealing with back pain without really knowing why, and now I finally have some answers… but they come with a difficult road ahead.

I’ll be starting treatment on April 13th, and the next 4–6 months will include weekly treatments, ongoing care, and eventually a bone marrow transplant using my own stem cells.

If you know me, you know I’m not someone who easily asks for help. I’ve always tried to take care of things on my own. But this is a season where I simply can’t do that.

The medical costs, treatments, and everyday expenses are adding up quickly, and while insurance is helping some, it doesn’t come close to covering everything.

A dear friend has set up a GoFundMe to help during this time. If you feel led to give, share, or even just pray, it would mean more to me than I can put into words.
