Albuquerque TaeKwon-Do

Congratulations to Albuquerque Taekwon-Do’s newest yellow belts! 🥋🙌

The quiet work behind a black belt.......

Everyone wants to know how long it takes to earn a black belt.
Almost nobody asks how many ordinary Tuesdays it takes.

The class after a difficult day.
The drive through traffic.
The evening your favorite training partner is absent.
The same basic technique you thought you understood last month.
Again.

Some sessions feel incredible.
Others end with you packing your bag, tired and unsure whether you improved at all.
Those sessions count.

You practiced keeping a commitment when the excitement was gone.
You gave your attention to something that takes longer than you wanted.
You accepted another correction.

Over time, those ordinary evenings accumulate.
Someone eventually sees your belt and says, “I wish I had your discipline.”
You remember the car keys in your hand.
The bag by the door.
The hundreds of small decisions that brought you back.

Which ordinary training night are you glad you showed up for?

One more gup promotion to blue stripes! Way to go!

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸🙌🥳

Congratulations to our newly promoted color belts!
