We work at two levels for maximum impact. In communities, we help people develop as leaders to create change for their families and their neighborhoods.

The Partnership for Community Action is committed to building strong healthy communities through relationship building, leadership development and civic engagement. Partnership for Community Action is an advocacy and education organization that engages New Mexicans in learning about the issues that most affect their lives and encouraging them to get involved in civic life. At the state level, we advocate for systemic change that improves access to quality education, wellness and economic opportunity for all New Mexicans.

💚 We’re proud to see one of our former Young Parent Program participants sharing their story and raising their voice for families! Thank you to our partner UPLAN for amplifying parent voices and highlighting why affordable childcare matters. Read their story below and help spread the word parent voices can inspire change!

Free child care did more than help Maisie cover a bill. It made it possible for her to work full time, finish her degree, and create more stability for her family in New Mexico.

In Finishing University and Staying to Pay It Forward, Maisie shares what support has made possible and why she is speaking up so other families can have the same opportunity.

Thank you to the home-based child care providers who came together to share their wisdom, experiences, and feedback on Universal Child Care.

The nation is learning so much from New Mexico, and PCA is honored to create spaces where providers can lead, teach, and share what they know.

Last Thursday, Senator Bernie Sanders’ Education Policy Advisor, Iris, listened and learned directly from local educators. She will carry the knowledge and experiences she gained into conversations with other states across the country. This is what it looks like when the people closest to the work help lead the way.
