We can't believe it has already been a month since our Salute to Service Gala. It was such a magical evening and we are so grateful for all of the support so we can continue offering no cost service dogs and mental health services to Veterans, Military Service Members, and their loved ones.

Paws and Stripes is accepting applications for its Veteran Service Dog Program through November 30.
The program pairs eligible Veterans with shelter and rescue dogs and provides the training and support needed to build successful psychiatric service dog partnerships. There is no cost to apply or participate.
Because training is hands-on and requires a significant time commitment, applicants must be able to travel to our Albuquerque office several days a week throughout the program.
Please note that the program trains psychiatric service dogs only. We do not currently provide dogs trained primarily for medical alerts or other medical-response tasks.

Today on the 25th anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11, we remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families forever changed. We honor the first responders, service members, and others who answered the call with courage and sacrifice.
May we continue to reflect, share memories, and carry forward the values of compassion, resilience, unity, and service. We remember those we lost, those who served, and those who continue to serve.
