On National Navajo Code Talkers Day, we honor the Navajo warriors who during World War II used the Diné language to send secure messages using this unbreakable code. 💪🏽💛

As we reflect today, may we also carry ourselves with the same courage and values our language and these warriors have taught us.🤲🏽

Their legacy is one of strength, resilience, true patriotism, and service to the people. Ahéhee.☀️🩵💛

BREAKING: Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, a citizen of the White Earth Nation, has won the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, defeating U.S. Rep. Angie Craig.

Flanagan, the Minnesota DFL-endorsed candidate, has served as lieutenant governor since 2019 and is currently the highest-ranking Native American woman serving in executive office in the country.

She now advances to the November general election for the seat being vacated by retiring Democratic Sen. Tina Smith. If elected, Flanagan would make history as the first Native American woman to serve in the U.S. Senate.

Today on Pueblo Revolt Day, we honor and remember the Pueblo People who came before us who defended our traditions, our culture and our languages. ✊🏽

As The Pueblo Revolt remains one of the most successful Indigenous uprisings against colonial rule, today we carry that same sentiment as we face new challenges of colonialism.

The Revolt continues as we fight for what is right; access to clean water & air, the continuity of our traditions, and the protections of our sacred lands.🌩️

The resistance of our ancestors lives on through us.⚡️

Turns out the cutest way to be chic is to standing up for what you believe in 💅🏼💖🌸

We know that living our best life comes from living our values. Building Native power means investing in our people, protecting our sacred places, strengthening Tribal sovereignty, and making sure Native voices are heard in every space where decisions are made.

At Naeva we know that showing up for community, protecting what matters and building Native power for our future generations is always going to be in style.
