Or stop by the Casita from 3 pm to 4 pm every day for a biscochito and a cup of lemonade!

This week at Explora, our team is taking some time to care for the place where so much learning, discovery, and connection happens! Our annual maintenance week gives us an opportunity to deep clean, repair, refresh, and take care of the museum and its exhibits.

Every day, Explora welcomes school groups, families, campers, teens, members, and visitors of all ages looking for a place to be curious. Behind all of those experiences is a lot of care! Our exhibits are built and maintained by the people who work here. Our Visitor Experience team helps make each visit welcoming, friendly, and full of opportunities to learn. Our educators, program teams, facilities staff, volunteers, and so many others work behind the scenes to keep Explora a place where people can experiment, ask questions, make connections, and see themselves as learners.

So while maintenance week may mean cleaning an exhibit or giving a space a much-needed refresh, it is really about something bigger: taking care of a place that belongs to our whole community!

Explora exists because of the people who believe in the power of hands-on learning. We are grateful to have a community that makes Explora such a special place to learn, play, wonder, and discover!
